A Good Idea
In today’s life, innovation has become an emphasis for a company to create and offer unique products, services, and processes to the customers and ensure the market strategy as well. It encourages people to generate good ideas to manage the company’s future and market. A good idea can refer to a problem-solving idea that is creative and special for enhancing different sectors by providing better solutions. The necessity of a good idea does not solve all problems perfectly, but it provides certain improvements to offer better results and approaches. To generate a good idea, purpose becomes crucial. Steven Johnson, in his book, Where Good Ideas Come From, calls this the “Long Hunch.”Yet a good idea to explain the maximum amount of variables in the minimum number of statements. (Greg,2011). A good idea always comes from a specific purpose and it will not be generated in a vacuum. When there is a purpose, the ideas will come out to address the challenges as everyone has the potential to develop good ideas. Besides, a good idea also comes from the combination of other ideas. These ideas are developed and generated by other people who have different perspectives and opinions. To come out with a good idea, people need to consider and filter all these ideas to arrive at the best one.
To generate good ideas, conversation will be important as people need to socialize with others from different fields, backgrounds, and experiences to gather different perspectives and voices. New people don't know all your thought patterns and old stories, so you'll have to revisit your existing inner monologues. (Daum,2013). The sharings from these people can help us to approach problems from another angle and create better ideas. Furthermore, research is a complementary tool to generate good ideas. Through research on related fields, we managed to identify the problems for improvement based on the current trend as well. When we have an idea to solve a problem, we can research to find out the evidence to prove and support our ideas.
